Najee Harris Told Todd McShay To "Kiss My Ass"
If you ever wondered how much athletes care about what some of the pundits say about them, we know of at least one guy in this year's NFL Draft who has something to say in response to some of the critiques surrounding his game.
Former Alabama running back Najee Harris went on Adam Schefter's podcast this week and Schefter read to him the scouting reports from Mel Kiper Jr. and Todd McShay. And when Schefter got to McShay's evaluation of how Harris has "improved" as a pass catcher, Harris had a pretty blunt response.
"I think (McShay) can kiss my ass," he said.
I love it. McShay wasn't even really criticizing him, he simply said his pass catching ability out of the backfield improved as he went along throughout his career. But Harris says that's just the musings of somebody who only looks at stat sheets instead of watching games — even though I'm pretty sure that's, like, McShay's main job requirement.
Regardless, I can respect a man with a chip on his shoulder. Even as a likely first round pick, Harris isn't going to take any shit from anybody. And when you're as good at football as that kid is, he has a right not to.
